Taanist

Our amazing week in Denmark is over and as sad as it is, all the memories made and lessons had are in my heart and I couldn't be happier about this experience. We learnt many things about economy and our industry these days, I feel like the world has open up to me more and that I'm more willing to study new things about everything! :)

Better than Jens

I would argue about Jens being the best kite builder. As you can see in the video we were very good, I would even say that we were better than Jens!

You did great Josva!

Wow thats big!

I went to 7eleven and saw those humongous cinnamon rolls and I just had to buy one! It was sooo delicious but after that my hands were very sticky but it was worth it!

Water and a ship

On the way home we could see like a Vikings ship on a river, which is made from lights and water. You can only see it at night.

Storms Pakhus

Right after we landed, our host and her mom came to get us and they took us to Storms Pakhus, which is like a street food place where we ate. It was amazing!!!

What I'd take from Denmark

Denmark has many nice things that I'd like to have at home as well. Fortunately Martti took a big suitcase with him where we can put our extra stuff.
Some of the items that we would put there are:

  • A swing (maybe 2)
  • Cheap & legal alcohol
  • A friendly bus driver & his clean bus
  • Whole school building (to put swings into)
  • WWII bunker
  • Bread with chocolate sheets
It's probably a bit too large for Martti's suitcase, so we need to borrow Margit's suitcase as well.

Lookie

It was such a fun experience and I loved every second of it. It was so fun to watch the confused cashiers when I didn't understand what they said in Danish.

The last night in Odense

The beautiful ending for a beautiful week.

Sandwiches

I am being an ethnocentrist against the Danish people, but I've never managed to be culturally relative. I don't judge them that hard for it, though. But it's very unusual for most of Estonians to see them making sandwiches with their hands and then eating some of them with forks and knives. Maybe it's more hygienic that way, who knows.

sõnad ja väljendid (for Estonians only;)

Nagu tunnis räägitud, ootan ma selle postitusse vastuseks igalt osalejalt väljendeid ja sõnu, mida kasutati raskes õppetöös, mis te selle nädala jooksul läbi pidite tegema.
Eelistatult oleksid need väljendid business language temaatikaga seotud.

- Hiljemalt homme s.o. reede hommikuks.
Today is the last day of our trip and tomorrow morning we are leaving back to finland. Tonight we are going to go eat at Storms again and just hangout with the group, cause its gonna be a while for us to reunite again. We learned a lot about danish culture and se are looking forward to learn about estonian culture too😊

Viking village

For me the best part about the viking village was the playground and the horses. Everything was just too cute and cozy.

Trip to Denmark's west coast

Dear all

I thought spending the day with you all was great! The time of year taken into consideration, the weather treated us well, and hopefully you thought the museums and the scenery as exciting as I did. When we first got back to the school, I didn't feel tired, but now fatigue has crept up on me, and I'll soon be ready for bed. I'm sure we will all sleep soundly tonight.

Josva is the best

I have had really great time in Denmark so far. I like the school, food, host family.
The family is super nice and warm. I feel like I am at home. Josva`s mom makes really good dishes.
Also like the activities what we are doing here. Today we flew a kite which we had built yesterday and went to 2 museums. And I think that I have the best host. So Josva is the best. :)

Possessed

Our kite was possessed by something other than wind. It wanted to escape a couple of times, but as responsible humans, we didn't let it.

Viking village

I liked the Viking village animals and the houses there were lovely.

kites

We made the ugliest kite ever compared to others kites and it turned out to be as bad as the others had so, yeah great

Kitebuilding

We had built pretty kites yesterday. The kites didn't fly well, but they looked nice (before attempting flight). Then I came and built a kite-lite. It lasted longer than other kites. Whether I am the best kite builder is up to you, but without the moral support from my companions on the bus I could've never become the best engineer on kite building.

Working outside the classroom

The rooms in the school were very nice and new. I liked that we could go out of the classroom to study. I think it's good to do some studies otside the classroom with computer, so the school day won't be that boring.

I learned something new today

We had a wonderful night with the Danish parents tonight! We are so happy they all came, and we are thankful for all the food they brought! I learned that apple sauce with bacon is surprisingly very tasty - I had never even thought to have these two together! Waiting for the recipe that the Danish teacher Ruth is going to share.

Feelings...

The days in Denmark have passed in complete bliss and happiness. With every new experience, we grow more into a brand new person, every day we discover something unexpectedly awesome about Denmark and also about Finland, as we're also working with them. Although we have only one week, it feels like we've been here already for a long time, because the connection with the hostfamily is strong and powerful. The school we're working in, has offered us many great things to see, the rooms are big and full of light. We're happy to be here!!

Swings

I really like the swings that are in here. I wish our school had them. The Danish disrespect it by simply sitting on it. You must swing as hard and fast as possible to show your appreciation to the swings.
